It’s the morning after the Super Bowl and wow, what a game. If you are a San Francisco fan, you are wondering what in the world happened to the 49ers. If you are a Kansas City fan, you may be a bit tired from the late night celebration from the Chiefs not having won a Super Bowl in 50 years!!!!
So what happened? Both teams obviously were physically prepared to be on the field, but that is never enough. If you are not mentally prepared as well, which is equally, if not more important, than you fail.
Kansas City wanted the win, could taste it, had a passion for it. It was just within their reach, and nothing, nothing was going to stop them from getting it once they hit the field.
Here’s my recipe for A Winning Team
- All For One and One For All – Decide you are in it together, for the long haul.
- Believe – In your heart, in your mind and in your soul.
- Passion – You have to have the “fire in your belly” and absolutely love what you do.
- Give It Everything You Have – No matter what, you will give it everything you have, everyday.
- Love Thy Neighbor – Check your problems, and your ego, at the door and help your teammates. Get along and get each other through the hard times, period.
- There is One Goal – To Win. Nothing Less.
It’s not always easy, but no one said it would be. The rewards, well, ask the Chiefs.
