As the fireworks fade and we settle back into our routines, this Fourth of July carries a little more significance. We aren’t just celebrating another Independence Day—we’re stepping into America’s 250th birthday year. For 250 years, our nation has been built by ordinary people willing to do extraordinary things. They faced uncertainty, embraced responsibility, and believed that what they did today could create a better tomorrow. Freedom has never been about standing still; it’s about having the courage to move forward.
Leadership is no different. Every day we have the opportunity to shape the future of our organizations, our families, and our communities through the choices we make. We don’t have to hold public office or make history books to leave a legacy. We lead by serving others, doing the right thing when no one is watching, lifting those around us, and having the courage to step forward even when it’s uncomfortable.
As we begin this new week, take a moment to reflect on the legacy you’re creating. Two hundred and fifty years from now, no one will remember the emails you answered or the meetings you attended—but someone will remember how you made them feel, the confidence you gave them, the opportunities you created, and the example you set. That’s the kind of freedom—and leadership—that changes generations.
Have a great week, and keep leading with Advantage!
