Women Helping Women

Monday, June 24, 2013

Good Morning ,

Last Monday evening, I had the pleasure of hosting 14 of some of the most amazing CRE women I know for somewhat of a networking event in my home.   Through the torrential downpour of rain in Dallas, these women arrived with a purpose in mind……to brainstorm, share information and achieve results.   Having fun is optional, but there never seems to be a lack of fun and laughter with this group! And in case you are wondering, there were a few glasses of wine involved as well.

Here are the characteristics of the women –  Type A personalities, over achievers, well known in their field, top leaders and all have an opinion on something or everything.  Oh, and did I mention all are beautiful!

Here are the rules – Show up with a piece of information to share and a piece of information that you want to take away.

Let me tell you something………this group is POWERFUL!!!!!

Here are the lessons learned that I can share (those that I can’t share, well you know the saying, “I’d have to kill you”)   The first and most important fact you need to know is that Women are helping Women with all of the following to continue to invest in their careers.

  • Make smart investments with your money, and you don’t have to break the bank to do it.  Be as smart in your personal investments and decisions as you are in your business investments and decisions and you can’t go wrong.
  • Your health and well being comes first – don’t forget to take care of YOU.  As we run around taking care of everyone else we are responsible for,  put yourself FIRST, not last.   If you put yourself last, it will never get done.
  • Don’t be afraid to try new things.  Get out of your comfort zone and take risks!
  • Keep your resources updated; the tools available will keep you current and on top of the competition.
  • Continue educating yourself – the right books will continue to teach you the who, what, where, when and why’s of what you should and should not be doing.  Just because school is out for the kids, load up that Kindle, IPad, Nook or other tablet you are using and get started!

The other information we are working on is patent pending, so we will have to get back to you!

Ladies, and you know who you are, great insights.   Until next time.

Make it a great day!
